famous museum-town

tarossel
is a is a unique Thracian temple-tomb, dating from the V-IV c. B.C.
It is a magnificent monument of a mighty ruler of Thrace, possibly
Sitalkes. The tumulus was discovered in 2000 and it is the biggest
well-preserved Thracian royal complex in South-Eastern Europe.
Starosel attracts thousands of tourists with its impressiveness and
rich royal burial with golden and silver adornment, battle armour
and decorated pottery.
